In the UK, 33% of pupils at Catholic schools are of other faiths or none. Catholic schools educate more than a quarter of a million non-Catholics and have a track record of supporting minority religions as they integrate into the local community

St Mary's is a the only Catholic School on Anglesey and it is conducted in accordance with the rites, practices and observances of the Catholic Faith. The school in controlled by the Bishop and is run by the governing committee..

We welcome ALL children to our school, from any background. We recognise and respect different faith's and beliefs. We invite all of our children to pray and to say their own prayers respectfully and quietly. We are all praying for the same reasons. Our Peace Garden, maintained by the children, gives us a quiet space to use for times of reflection.

Although all the children admitted to St. Mary’s School may not be Catholic, they will be expected to take a full and active part in the religious life of the school.

The Catholic children are prepared for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Communion in a combined Parish / Home programme.

In our teaching we follow the National Catholic Religious Programme, Come and See, which was commissioned by the Bishops of England and Wales.

Each week, on a Friday, we celebrate a Children’s Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church. Parents are invited to join us for this Mass. Three times a year the children lead the School Family Sunday mass, where all of our children prepare to take part in the celebration. The Year 6 children attend a Leaver's Mass in June, led by the Bishop of Wrexham, to celebebrate the end of their time in primary school.

what-happens-in-a-mass-service

["post-498","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
